Relief Treatments

Cosmetic injection procedures used to address a range of functional and aesthetic concerns. All procedures are assessed and performed under direct medical supervision following a comprehensive consultation.

Areas of Treatment

Treatment areas assessed at consultation.

Cosmetic injection procedures under this category may be used to address the following concerns, where clinically appropriate following individual assessment.

Hyperhidrosis

Cosmetic injections used to address excessive sweating in areas including the underarms, hands, feet, and face. The procedure temporarily reduces the activity of sweat glands in the treated area. Assessed individually at consultation.

Masseter Hyperactivity

Cosmetic injections used to address masseter muscle hyperactivity associated with teeth grinding, jaw clenching, and jaw discomfort. In some cases a dental assessment may be recommended alongside or instead of cosmetic injection treatment.

Gummy Smile

Cosmetic injections used to address the appearance of excess gum tissue visible during smiling, associated with upper lip muscle activity. Assessed individually in the context of the patient’s facial anatomy and concerns.

All concerns are subject to a prior consultation at which clinical suitability is assessed individually. Not all procedures will be appropriate for all patients.

Our Approach

A surgical background applied to every procedure.

Relief treatments at Karui are assessed with the same clinical rigour as all other procedures at the clinic. Before any procedure is recommended, the assessment considers the nature and extent of the concern, the patient’s medical and dental history where relevant, and whether cosmetic injection treatment is the most clinically appropriate approach for the individual.

In some cases a different treatment may be more appropriate. In some cases a referral to another practitioner including a dental practitioner may be recommended alongside or instead of cosmetic injection treatment. In some cases no treatment may be indicated. The clinic’s standard is honest, unconditional advice without exception.
