Treatments

PRP / PRF Therapy

Procedures using platelet-rich plasma or platelet-rich fibrin derived from the patient’s own blood, used to address skin and scalp concerns. All procedures are assessed and performed under direct medical supervision following a comprehensive consultation.

Areas of Treatment

Treatment areas assessed at consultation.

PRP and PRF procedures at Karui may be used to address concerns in the following areas, where clinically appropriate following individual assessment.

Face

Procedures used to address skin quality concerns across the face. Assessment considers individual skin condition, skin type, and patient goals before any treatment is recommended.

Neck and Décolletage

Procedures used to address skin quality concerns in the neck and décolletage area. Suitability is assessed individually at consultation.

Scalp

Procedures used to address scalp concerns associated with hair thinning. Assessment considers the nature and extent of the concern and whether PRP or PRF treatment is clinically appropriate for the individual.

Combination Treatment

In some cases, PRP or PRF treatment may be considered alongside other procedures as part of a broader treatment plan. All combination planning is assessed comprehensively at consultation.

All areas are subject to a prior consultation at which clinical suitability is assessed individually. Not all areas will be appropriate for all patients.

Our Approach

Assessment before any procedure is discussed.

At Karui, PRP and PRF procedures are assessed in the context of the whole face and the patient’s broader skin health. Before any procedure is recommended, the clinic considers the nature of the patient’s concern, their skin condition, and whether PRP or PRF treatment is the most clinically appropriate approach for the individual.

In some cases a different treatment may be more appropriate. In some cases a combination approach may be discussed. In some cases no treatment may be indicated. The clinic’s standard is conservative recommendation and honest, unconditional advice and that standard applies equally to PRP and PRF procedures as to all other treatments at Karui.
